Yay! I arrived here in Seattle at noon today and Deband I spent the evening making a tentative trip route. Looks like lots of fun in store, for us and for those of you following along. You just never know what we're going to do or see.
Random observations on this first day:
It's comforting to look out the window of the plane and see the Rolls Royce insignia on the engine. Hopefully a sign of the classy trip we're going to take. (no snickering...)
In Newark, the attending flight crew were getting ready to close the gate for a flight to San Diego when I woman rushed back from the plane and said, 'Wait! My husband's not on board!' There, sitting in the next waiting area was her husband. He yelled across to her "I looked in every ladies room for you!" Ok, so many things wrong here: a)why did she board the plane without him, or without him knowing? b)why did he just sit there and do nothing while the crew made repeated Final Boarding announcements? and c) did he REALLY look in all the ladies rooms, and if so, why wasn't he arrested? How do these people escape from The Home? Are they touring the country attending Health Care Town Hall Meetings? Lord God, are they distantly related to me??????
