The adventure begins Sept. 10

On Sept. 10, Steve and I will hop into a friend's car and start driving from Seattle to Boston.

Two definite stops:

-- Billings, MT, to pick up three stained-glass panels that Steve designed and his father-in-law created.

-- Bloomfield Hills, MI, which is where our friend attends art school and where we will drop off her car. (We will get a rental car for the final leg of the journey.)

Other than that, we have a chosen route but each day shall be unscripted.
